Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
' - 7204 Lake Drive M
CITY"' 'p Lino Lakes, N 55014
N KE (612) 780-1885 Fax (612) 784-7227
June 8, 1998
TO: Rice Lake Estates Park Area Residents
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director
SUBJECT: Rice Lake Estates Park
The Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of installing a bituminous trail from
Sandhill Drive(near the wellhouse)to Baldwin Park. I anticipate this trail segment to be
completed this summer.
It appears that some additional money will be available this year to continue the development of
Rice Lake Estates Park. Enclosed is the master plan for the park that was done in 1996. The
master plan indicates a need for playground equipment, a half court basketball court, and a tennis
court.
n I am requesting input from area residents in determining the priority in which the above listed
amenities should be constructed.
Please complete the information below and return to the Parks and Recreation Department, 7204
Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, Minnesota 55014, by June 22, 1998. 1 will take this information into
account when determining which park amenities should be installed, with available funds, for the
Rice Lake Estates Park.
If you feel that the enclosed master plan is"outdated" and would like the layout of the park
revisited, please indicate this on the form below. For example, perhaps there is no interest from
area residents for a tennis court and would rather have a full court basketball court. This
planning process would be done later this year. Please feel free to add any additional comments.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME ADDRESS PHONE
Please prioritize the following amenities with#1 having the highest priority, #2 the next highest,
#3 the lowest priority.
Playground equipment
Half court basketball court
Tennis court
n Would you like to see this park re-master planned this fall? Yes No
Comments:
sw/rick/Rice Lake Estate Park Survey.doc
