Summer Program Highights <br /> ♦ The weather is causing some program adjustments, but we are being as creative as possible in order to <br /> reschedule programs. <br /> ♦ At Kite Day, we passed out almost 200 kites in 20 minutes. <br /> ♦ T-ball has started and over 200 people are participating in this program. <br /> ♦ The Friends of the Parks Foundation is in the process of receiving a donation of$1000 from Target <br /> Industries. <br /> ♦ Tennis and golf lessons are in full Swing. Everything but weather is working out very well. <br /> ♦ Performance in the Parks program has started and is well attended by residents. <br /> ♦ Open Playground Program -we served an estimated 480 youth our first week at our seven open play <br /> ground locations-Sunrise Park, Inner Park,Sunset Oaks Park, Lino Park, Birch Park, Birchwood Acres <br /> Park, and Country Lakes Park. <br /> ♦ Traveling Playground Program -we served an estimated 65 youth our first week at our two traveling <br /> playground sites - Baldwin Park and Golden Lake Elementary. <br /> ♦ Wild Away For A Day Trips - MM Zoo and IMAX, Is scheduled for July ?, 1991W. <br /> ♦ Preschool Playtime is off to a good start. 15 participants enjoy crafts,games and senses activities. <br /> ♦ 47 youth participate in our Soccer"Fun"damentals program, which focuses on basic soccer skills and the <br /> concept of team play. <br /> WI Programs <br /> ♦ Teen Activities:focusing on outdoor adventure and challenge activities. <br /> ♦ Halloween Special Event: scheduled for October 29, 199g. <br /> ♦ Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot: scheduled for November 14, 1999. <br /> Any questions Feel free to contact Barry Bernstein or Liz Bumack. <br />
