Council Member Lyden introduced the following resolution and moved its <br /> adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO.99-29 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT—LAKE <br /> DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY-PHASE 2 IMPROVEMENTS. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Lake Drive Trunk <br /> Utility-Phase 2 Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br /> following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> Company Bid Amount <br /> S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. $ 1,991,329.71 <br /> S. R. Weidema, Inc. $ 2,063,076.92 <br /> Northdale Consturction $ 2,098,412.34 <br /> Richard Knutson, Inc. $ 2,189,173.90 <br /> Barbarossa and Sons $ 2,204,061.88 <br /> Arcon Construction $ 2,308,296.09 <br /> Kenko, Inc. $ 2,335,617.37 <br /> Engineer's Estimate $ 2,259,723.00 <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that S. J. Louis, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br /> LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with S. J. <br /> Louis, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Lake Drive Trunk <br /> Utility-Phase 2 Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br /> Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> 2.
