City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> June 7, 1999 <br /> Paul stated he does have concern regarding the City selling park <br /> property. However, he added he wants to hear how the residents <br /> feel about the revised plan. <br /> Pat stated he is also opposed to selling park property. He noted <br /> that the project is predicated on a bigger better park at <br /> sometime in the future . <br /> Mr. Uhde stated he does have a concept plan of the larger park. <br /> The plan will be reviewed by the City Planner later this week. <br /> Ms . Deb Peterson, 208 Palomino Lane, came forward an asked when <br /> the $35, 000 in the Park Fund will be used for a play structure in <br /> the park. <br /> Chair Lindy stated the play structure installation will be the <br /> first priority once the ground is ready. <br /> Mr. Greg Gifford, 214 Palomino Lane, came forward and stated he <br /> was led to believe from the designs that there would be a park <br /> there connected by a trail . Access to the park without having to <br /> n cross Lilac Street is very desirable. He stated he is in favor <br /> of the revised plan. <br /> Chair Lindy asked if the homeowners most affected by the plan are <br /> happy with the revisions . The homeowners indicated they are <br /> happy with the revised plan. <br /> Ms . Lawrence came forward again and expressed concern regarding <br /> the lack of parking. She also asked if there is funding for the <br /> trail connection from Behm' s 5th Addition. <br /> Chair Lindy stated money is budgeted each year for trails . Every <br /> year the trails are prioritized regarding completion. <br /> Ms . Lawrence stated that if there is no trail connection children <br /> will still have to cross Lilac Street to get to the park. <br /> Rick stated without a developed park the trail connection is a <br /> low priority. The trail connection would become a higher <br /> priority when the park is developed. <br /> Chair Lindy added that the intent of smaller parks is for the <br /> park to be for the neighborhood. Large parking areas are not <br /> needed in smaller parks . <br /> 3 <br />
