Program ,-Cighlights - June Park Board Update <br /> Playground Proaram-200 children are registered in the playground program this summer.The response to the <br /> $25 fee has been very positive.Children are able to experience a variety ofactivities including.arts-n-crafts <br /> projects.nature programs,and theme meek activities. <br /> Soccer Fundamentals-96 children are enrolled in this introduction to soccer. Participants are learning basic <br /> skills and techniques as well as experiencing game play and teamwork. <br /> Preschool'Playtime-20 children are enrolled in this program.Classes focus on the senses as well as play skills. <br /> L'Xtions-This new program with the VJ(Cs1 is going well.-We have an energetic group of children in this <br /> program and the summer is proving to be a valuable learning experience for everyone. <br /> Wild jway for a Day Trips-28 children registered for our first trip to 17alleyfair.-We are excited for this trip <br /> and are looking forward to our upcoming trips. <br /> Summer Dance Classes-Due to the popularity of these classes,it was attempted to offer and operate summer <br /> ,classes.,At the present time,we are conducting two full classes ofdance. <br /> Alartial,Arts-This is the first time in several years that we chose to offer a summer martial arts class.There <br /> are three full classes for the summer session. <br /> TBall-The early season rain has raised havoc on this program,but the volunteer coaches have been outstand- <br /> /'�iny, <br /> Youth Tennis-Tennis lessons are very popular. -We had to add classes in order to accommodate the number of <br /> particpants that requested to be in this program. <br /> Tall Soccer--We have started to take registrations for this program.The location ofgames may change due to <br /> turfrestoration atXice Cake Elementary.A decision will be made in July on location. <br /> Youth wolf Golfis hot at the present time.All ofour youth classes are filled. <br /> Satety Camp-Cover 90 children are registered for this annual event that <br /> teaches 3rd grade graduates about safety issues. <br /> r ' <br /> ' Adult Basketball-8 teams are currently registered. <br /> Adult Golf Xatn has pushed back some classes.Participants <br /> have been notified and we are getting back on track. <br /> ,Adult Softball--We have had to make up over 40 games this season <br /> due to weather.X egistration is beginning for fall season. <br /> Party-Wagon-This new offering has already proven popular.The <br /> agon has been reserved for every weekend from June-September.In addition. <br /> people have been contacting our office for 2000 reservation dates. <br /> (Questions Please call Cif or Barry at 651-982-2440. <br />
