The minutes were approved.
SETTING THE AGENDA:
The Agenda was passed as presented.
OPEN MIKEā€¢
Two residents from the Lino Air Park came forward and expressed
concern regarding the trail in the proposed Behm' s Century Farm
Park. They indicated they are not opposed to the development but
are concerned about the safety of the trail placement . The trail
would be very close to an open grassy area that is part of a
runway. The area is considered an A-safety zone according to FAA
guidelines and no people are allowed in that area.
The residents continued stating a fence is an option. They
however, do not want the extra expense and maintenance
responsibilities . It was noted that Mr. Uhde has offered to
provide signage relating to the runway.
Chair Lindy noted that in the past the City has installed a fence
when City property abuts private property. The City is also
responsible to properly sign the area.
The residents also expressed concern regarding additional people
coming from the east where there is no access . People are
entering the area through a culvert which is also a safety
concern.
DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED BEHM'S CENTURY FARM PARK:
Rick advised that a neighborhood meeting to discuss the future of
Behm' s Century Farm Park was held earlier this evening. The
current proposal proposes selling six residential lots along
Mustang Lane and three lots along Palomino Lane to acquire
funding for the development of the park.
1
