City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting May 3, 1999 Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pam Taschuk, to approve the designation of $5, 000 of park dedication funds for the upgrade of fields #3 and #4 at Sunrise Park. The motion passed unanimously. LOT 1 - CLEARWATER CREEK 2ND ADDITION BUFFERING: Rick stated in January, 1999, the Park Board approved allocating $400 each for Lot 4-7 to assist the homeowners in providing buffering to the trail directly west of the homes . The home on Lot 1 was recently built . The existing trail is closer to this home than the homes on Lots 4-7 . Rick recommended the Park Board designate $400 in park dedication funds to assist this homeowner in providing adequate buffering from this trail . Joe stated he visited the site and the home is very close to the trail . A buffer is needed. Jeff Reinert made a motion, seconded by Pam Taschuk, to designate $400 in park dedication funds to assist the homeowner on Lot 1 in providing adequate buffering from the trail . The motion passed unanimously. RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: Rick referred to the Parks and Recreation Department update for April, 1998 that reviewed the Program Highlights . Rick noted the T-Ball program is again one of the most popular programs . The Parks Department has had to increase the number of classes in order to accommodate everyone . Over 300 participants are anticipated in this program. Rick also noted that Kite Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 1999, at Rice Lake Elementary School . The Lino Lakes Lions Club donated $300 to the Parks and Recreation Department to help support the event . Rick added that the Lino Lakes new Party Wagon is expected to be in operation in June, 1999 . Ten requests have already been received. The Party Wagon has been made available by a kind and generous contribution from the Circle-Lex Lions. A big promotional campaign for the Party Wagon will begin in the next few weeks . 4
