City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> May 3, 1999 <br /> Chair Lindy nominated Pat Huelman for Vice Chair, and was <br /> seconded by Pam Taschuk. <br /> Paul Montain made a motion to close nominations, seconded by Jeff <br /> Reinert . Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Pat Huelman was elected Vice Chair unanimously. <br /> Assign Town Center Committee Member - Rick stated the Economic <br /> Development Department is seeking a volunteer from the Park Board <br /> to site on the Town Center Committee. The committee is comprised <br /> of members from other Lino Lakes Boards, the Lino Lakes Advisory <br /> Committee, and residents . <br /> Pat Huelman nominated Paul Montain, and was seconded by Pam <br /> Taschuk. <br /> Pat made a motion to close nominations, seconded by Pam Taschuk. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Paul Montain was elected as the Park Board' s representative for <br /> the Town Center Committee unanimously. <br /> Review New Trailhead Signs - Rick stated staff has redesigned the <br /> trailhead sign. He showed an example of the new sign noting the <br /> logo and wording will be in white . <br /> Rick added the signs will be delivered next week. If the Parks <br /> Department is satisfied with the quality of the signs, additional <br /> signage will be worked on for specific trail segments . <br /> Review Recommended Dimensions for Skateboard Ramps - Rick advised <br /> there are not any established standards on safety zones or <br /> minimum skating dimensions . <br /> Rick indicated he is comfortable that three skateboard ramps <br /> would adequately fit within any of the City' s rinks . <br /> Rick noted that as skateboard parks become more popular there <br /> will be more formal guidelines and standards adopted for <br /> skateboard facilities . <br /> Chair Lindy stated the contractor has indicated there will be <br /> greater difficulty than anticipated in paving a rink due to the <br /> boards being in place . The contractor recommended the paving be <br /> done before the dasher boards are up. <br /> 6 <br />
