01. <br /> City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> March 1, 1999 <br /> n <br /> The March 1, 1999 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 : 35pm, by Chair George Lindy. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were George Lindy, Pat <br /> Huelman, Sharon Lane, Joe Schmidt, and Paul Montain. <br /> Also present were Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director, <br /> Sandie Wood, Office Manager, and Jeff Smyser, City Planner. <br /> APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 1, 1999 MINUTES: <br /> Sharon Lane made a motion, seconded by Paul Montain , to approve <br /> the February 1, 1999 minutes . The minutes were approved. <br /> SETTING THE AGENDA: <br /> Rick added Item 7A, Discussion of Arndorfer Property Subdivision. <br /> The amended Agenda was passed as presented. <br /> OPEN MIKEā€¢ <br /> Accept Donation from Forest Lake Area Athletic Association - Mr. <br /> Chad Bruner, Forest Lake Athletic Association, came forward and <br /> n presented $2 , 500 from the Association for the redevelopment of <br /> the ball fields at City Hall Park. He stated another $500 is <br /> being donated from the Lino Lakes Girls Softball Association for <br /> a total of $3 , 000 . <br /> The Park Board thanked Mr. Bruner for the donation. <br /> PRESENTATION OF FINAL MASTER PLAN - MARSHAN PARK AND BEHM'S <br /> CENTURY FARM PARK: <br /> Ms . Candace Olson, Brauer and Associates, presented the Final <br /> Master Plan for Marshan Park and Behm' s Century Farm Park. The <br /> master plans are a result of input from the Park Board at the <br /> December 7, 1998 , Park Board meeting as well as neighborhood <br /> meetings on January 5, 1999, and February 4 , 1999 . <br /> Ms . Olson stated the goal of Marshan Park is to create a central <br /> activity area which is centrally located for the whole <br /> neighborhood. The park will include arbor structures, play <br /> structures, ornamental fencing, open green spaces for various <br /> uses, half-court basketball, picnic areas, trail accesses, and <br /> berms for screening. <br /> Mr. Jeff Schoenbauer, Brauer and Associates, added that a cost <br /> estimate each park was provided to each Board member. The <br /> estimated $200, 000 cost for each park was based on an estimate <br /> from a contractor. <br /> 1 <br />
