City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> March 1, 1999 <br /> Ms . Olson reviewed the Final Master Plan for Behm' s Century Farm <br /> Park. She stated the park is 8 . 6 acres with an existing drainage <br /> ditch that must remain intact . The park will be developed in a <br /> manner where the north area will remain natural . Trails will be <br /> located through the park including wooded and prairie areas . <br /> Future trails can be linked to the proposed trails . The park <br /> will include architectural design, arbor structure for active <br /> areas, playground area, preschool area, seating overlook, picnic <br /> spaces, open area spaces, half-court basketball, and a gazebo <br /> structure . <br /> Mr. Schoenbauer advised that both parks utilized the neighborhood <br /> input process . He also noted that ice skating is possible in the <br /> Behm' s Park. <br /> Chair Lindy asked about the neighborhood' s preference regarding <br /> the first phase . Mr. Schoenbauer indicated the neighborhood <br /> prefers the playground structures first and then the ball fields . <br /> Pat noted that both plans reflect a lot of interest in the trails <br /> resulting in more paving expense . <br /> Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pat Huelman, to accept <br /> the Final Master Plan for Marshan Park as presented. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> Pat Huelman made a motion, seconded by Sharon Lane, to accept the <br /> Final Master Plan for Behm' s Century Farm Park as presented. The <br /> motion passed. <br /> DISCUSSION OF AMENDED PLAT - BEHM' S CENTURY FARM 5TH ADDITION: <br /> Rick stated Mr. Gary Uhde is requesting to amend the preliminary <br /> plat for the Behm' s Century Farm 5th Addition. The purpose of <br /> the amendment is to incorporate the revised wetland delineation <br /> and to modify the trail and open space plan to reserve some of <br /> the ecological resources . <br /> Mr. John Johnson, Civil Engineer for Mr. Uhde, came forward and <br /> stated the changes to the plat reflect the result of the wetland <br /> delineation and to incorporate open space into the plan. <br /> Mr. Johnson reviewed the preliminary plat and pointed out the <br /> areas of change. He noted the shape of the cul-de-sac has <br /> changed, the trail has been modified to go along the southern <br /> border, and there is a trail mechanism along the Air Park. <br /> 2 <br />
