The developer is proposing to provide a trail <br /> along the western edge of the development, adjacent to 121h Avenue. <br /> A site visit verifies that a meandering trail through the corridor of pine trees would be much <br /> more appealing than simply constructing a trail in the right-of-way along 12th Avenue. The <br /> estimated park dedication requirements for this plat will be discussed at the Park Board meeting. <br /> The developers proposal to clearing, grading, and paving an 8' trail is a concept I support. <br /> Perhaps at the northern termination point the trail should meander westward since it has not been <br /> determined if the future continuation of the trail to the north will need to be placed within the <br /> road right-of-way. <br /> RD:sw <br /> sw/parkbrd/Review Preliminary Plat,SMA Construction,Inc. 10 SF Lots.doc <br />
