41ANIS SAINc .CON S T R U C T I O N s
City of Lino Lakes Park Board
1189 Main Street
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
Re: Park dedication alternative. 6462 12th Ave. S. Peregrine Pass
In keeping with the new development strategies of the City of Lino Lakes, I
would like to offer to the Park Board an alternate route for the trail system
Typically the trails are placed in the right-of-way easement of the existing
road. I believe that this would harm the overall aesthetics of our proposed
site development, and deprive future trail users of a chance to take a
"walk in the woods". As shown in the drawings, we propose to place the
trail in a corridor of pine trees. This would offer the public a more diverse
atmosphere in which to enjoy the great outdoors, while using the trail
system. The process to complete this plan would mean the removal of
some trees, and a more cautious inlay of the trail itself. This of course
means that there is additional cost involved.
would like to offer the Park Board this alternate trail corridor, fully paved,
in lieu of a cash dedication. The cost of this project essentially equals the
the cost of the park dedication for this property, plus the city would not have
to find the money to pave the trail.
The Park Board consideration of this alternate trail system would be greatly
appreciated, not only by the development, but also by the many future trail
users.
Steven M.
