City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> February 1, 1999 <br /> The February 1, 1999 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 : 34pm, by George Lindy, Chair. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Jeff Reinert, George <br /> Lindy, Pam Taschuk, Sharon Lane, Pat Huelman, and Paul Montain. <br /> Member absent was Joe Schmidt . <br /> Also present were Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director, Mary <br /> Kay Wyland, Planning Coordinator, Jeff Smyser, City Planner, and <br /> Sandie Wood, Office Manager. <br /> APPROVAL OF JANUARY 4, 1999 MINUTES: <br /> Pam Taschuk made a motion, seconded by Sharon Lane, to approve <br /> the January 4, 1999 minutes . The motion passed. <br /> SETTING THE AGENDA: <br /> Rick revised the agenda to consider Item ##13 as Item #6 . The <br /> Agenda was passed as revised. <br /> OPEN MIKE• <br /> No one was present for open mike . <br /> REVIEW OF AMENDED PRELIMINARY PLAN CLEARWATER CREEK 3RD <br /> ADDITION• <br /> Jeff Smyser presented the original and amended preliminary plat <br /> for Clearwater Creek 3rd Addition. He advised the developer <br /> agreed to participate in the conservation development district <br /> and reviewed the main elements including the road access points, <br /> park space, large open space areas, wetland buffers, and trail <br /> locations . He then presented staff' s recommended changes to <br /> provide additional buffering by reducing lot depth in some areas <br /> and relocating several trail locations to provide better <br /> connections . <br /> Jeff Schoenbauer, Brauer and Associates, pointed out the <br /> Comprehensive Park Plan indicates a desire for a ten acre space <br /> which will meet the active recreational needs in this area. He <br /> advised it has been recommended that this space be reduced to <br /> four acres with upland area to provide for open space and trails <br /> which allows the developer to better maximize the property and <br /> obtain the desired development density. He advised of the <br /> importance of diligence in providing for programmed recreational <br /> uses . Jeff Schoenbauer presented several options for the <br /> Aloft,, neighborhood park which, together with the trails and open spaces <br /> would provide a good balance . <br /> 1 <br />
