Chomonix Golf Course,646 Sandpiper Drive,Site Plan Review for addition
to Club House
Ms. Wyland stated that Chomonix Golf Course is requesting a site plan review to allow
the construction of a 40 x 45 banquet room addition on the west side of the existing club
house. The banquet room will be designed to accommodate post-tournament events
during playing season and ski related events and community uses during the off-season.
No cooking facilities are planned at this time, however, serving space for foods that are
pre-prepared will be provided.
The property in question is Zoned PSP, Public/Semi-Public and a golf course is listed as a
permitted use. In review of the design standards set out in the Zoning Ordinance, staff
would find that this site plan review meets the requirements of the Ordinance. The City
Engineer has reviewed the development proposal and has indicated no objections to the
request. Staff would request that a landscape plan be prepared and subject to the review
and approval of the City Forester.
Staff recommended approval of the site plan review.
Mr. Schilling questioned why only three architectural sheets were provided. Ms. Wyland
stated the City does not require construction plans for a site plan review.
Mr. Trehus asked about a lighting plan and whether it would be reviewed by a CPTED
Officer. He expressed concern about the possibility of too much lighting. Ms. Wyland
stated the condition relating to lighting can include approval of the CPTED Officer.
u
