CITY OF LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
15. Substitutes should be approved in advance with the Parks and
Recreation Office. The building and grounds assigned to you are
your responsibility. We hope you will accept the responsibility and
do your best job. Substitutes should be taken from the list
provided. You will be responsible for informing the substitute of
the duties as listed in these instructions, and securing payroll
information. This will be a direct reflection on your performance.
16. You are responsible for the safe keeping of lost and found
articles in the warming house during the season. Articles should be
kept in separate boxes and labeled. Lost and found items that are
left at the end of the season will be held at the Parks and
Recreation Office.
17. DO NOT GIVE YOUR KEY TO ANYONE. IT IS YOURS EXCLUSIVELY. IF
YOU HAVE A SUBSTITUTE, MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR KEY DROP OFF AND
PICKUP. REMAIN ALERT AT ALL TIMES !!!
18. The job you do reflects directly on the Lino Lakes Parks and
Recreation program and the entire municipal program. Be sure you do
a good job. Be stern, but be fair, starting the first day you are
in charge. Rules will be posted. Warming house attendants are not
permitted to smoke or to use smokeless tobacco inside their
building. Do not, under any circumstances use abusive language at
101 or strike any children under your supervision.
19. TELEPHONE - Supervisors of buildings should discourage incoming
calls and attempt to limit all other calls to three minutes. All
rinks have telephones. Telephone books should be stored away,
available upon request.
20. BROOMBALL - Certain rinks may be scheduled for broomball from
6:30 - 10:00 PM. Interested groups must contact the Parks and
Recreation Office for permits. Do not allow broomball on your rinks
under any circumstances.
21. Use good judgement when turning on the rink lights. For
example, do not leave the rink lights on at 2:00 PM.
CONCESSION GUIDELINES
1. Selling concessions is merely a service to the public and a
sideline to what you are hired for. DO NOT let this interfere with
your duties as a warming house attendant.
7
