TO: All Park Board Members
FROM: Marty Asleson
DATE: May 30, 1991
RE: The Tilsen Residential Site/Gary Uhde
Enclosed is a letter and development concept plans from Gary Uhde
regarding the property bounded by Sunset Avenue and I35W.
City staff met with Mr. Ernie Rud of E.G. Rud and Sons concerning
the parks dedication requirements for this development.
The City owns park areas to the north on Leonard and Bradley, and
also west of Laurie Avenue and south of Thomas. The Leonard and
Bradley area seems to be close enough to fall within distance and
population standards. We also discussed the fact that there is an
outlot easement that might connect the park area with a trail from
this development. There also an outlot existing south of Marvy and
north of the development on lot 2 - block 11 that might be used for
open space by the development.
A trail was also proposed on the side of the development on the
south side of the sheet leading in to the north bound trail to the
Leonard and Bradley Park.
Recommendation was made by staff to accept dedication dollars and
connecting trails as discussed, and to integrate tying into the
outlot.
