MISSION STATEMENT 1-0% GOALS GOALS OBJECTIVES OBJECTIVES POLICY POLICY POLICY POLICY In as much as possible at this time, specific needs and desires that have already been expressed (i.e., Focus Meeting, etc.) have been incorporated within this outline. However, it is expected that additional issues and concerns will arise during forthcoming discussions. Please take the opportunity to review this outline and make note of any questions, concerns, or additions that come to mind about specific goals, objectives, and policies related to the park system. MISSION STATEMENT The purpose of the mission statement is to describe, in a relatively short verse, the duty or function of the Lino Lakes Park System. In essence, it is, by definition, the focal point of the Park System by which all the goals, objectives, and policy statements are derived. The following mission statement was developed in response to previous discussions with the Advisory Committee (and City staff). Please take the opportunity to review the mission statement and make note (in the space provided to the right of the statement) of any questions, concerns, or additions that come to mind. The outline for the mission statement is as follows: "The purpose of the Lino Lakes Park System is to provide, in as cost effective manner as possible, a comprehensive, balanced well maintained systems of parks, open space, trails and leisure oriented activities/programs for the "Community" to use and enjoy." GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND POLICY STATEMENTS A goal is best described as the defined manner in which the mission of the Lino Lakes Park System will be achieved or carried out. .-. Once specific goals are determined, a set of objectives (one or more) for each goal is established. A set of objectives essentially qualifies or more clearly defines specific goals.
