Comprehensive Park Plan and Development Guide <br />and consistent with the intent of the mission of the <br />Lino Lakes Park System. <br />• Periodic (yearly or as deemed appropriate) review of <br />the Comprehensive Park Plan and Development <br />Guide by the Parks & Recreation Board and City <br />staff shall be undertaken. The principle objective of <br />the periodic reviews shall be to determine if <br />adjustments are necessary or appropriate based on <br />perceived changes in community needs/conditions or <br />unique special/unforeseen conditions associated with <br />specific park sites which may arise. <br />Major review and updating of the Comprehensive <br />Park Plan and Development Guide shall be <br />undertaken at intervals not exceeding ten years or <br />when conditions within the Community have changed <br />to a degree whereby the Parks & Recreation Board, <br />City Council, and City Staff determine updating is <br />warranted. <br />• The Comprehensive Park Plan and Development <br />Guide shall be officially adopted by the City Council. <br />The Guide shall be represented through reference in <br />the Comprehensive Guide Plan for Lino Lakes. <br />• Residents shall be given the opportunity to <br />participate in the planning process (i.e., through <br />needs assessments studies, neighborhood meetings, <br />etc.) to assure that their needs are understood and <br />acted upon. <br />• Copies of the complete Guide shall be available for <br />review and/or purchase (at cost) by interested <br />residents upon request. <br />Parks/Open Space Acquisition/Development <br />and Preservation of Significant <br />Natural Resources (Including Wetlands) <br />Goal• <br />Provide City residents with parks and open space for <br />recreational uses and as a visual/physical diversion from <br />the hard surfacing of urban development as well as <br />providing for the preservation and conservation of limited <br />natural resources and maintaining the small town <br />ambience, rural appearance, and open space character of <br />the community. <br />Objectives: <br />• Enhancement of the "quality of life" for City residents <br />by acquiring and developing adequate parks and <br />open spaces to fulfill their present and future <br />physical and psychological needs and desires. <br />• Utilization of the parks and open space areas, as well <br />as interconnecting trail corridors, as a significant <br />City of Lino Lakes 4 June 1990 <br />
