This gives the City of Lino Lakes the option of
relocating programs to accessible facilities in lieu of upgrading certain facilities to make
them accessible. The success of relocating programs to gain accessibility depends on the
current and future numbers and locations of individuals with disabilities. The long-range
goal should be to make all facilities accessible. How to move toward that goal remains the
responsibility of the City of Lino Lakes.
A Transition Plan format has been developed. julee quarve-peterson,inc. has incorporated
the following information into the Transition Plan:
■ the issues for upgrade; and
■ the location where the upgrade is needed;
It is the City of Lino Lakes's responsibility to complete the Transition Plan identifying:
■ probable costs;
■ the time frame for removing the barrier; and
■ and the person responsible for each project.
When completing the transition plan, we suggest the City of Lino Lakes take into
consideration the following criteria:
■ City-wide policies relating to the provision of general public with disabilities;
■ knowledge of future use of individual structures for City of Lino Lakes
activities;
■ knowledge of specific numbers and locations of community members who
would benefit from improved accessibility; and
■ knowledge of City budgets.
julee quarve-peterson,inc.
