Introduction City of Lino Lakes
♦ The City of Lino Lakes is to conduct a comprehensive review of the City's
policies, programs, services, benefits, communication and employment
practices to ensure they do not discriminate against individuals that may want
to participate in their programs.
♦ The City of Lino Lakes is to encourage and seek out individuals with
disabilities and organizations representing disabilities as part of the process
in establishing priorities and reviewing the process of accessibility self-
evaluation.
♦ The City of Lino Lakes is to conduct a review of its structures and sites for
compliance with the current Americans With Disabilities Act accessibility
guidelines. Information provided as a result of the on-site audits is to be
incorporated with the finds of this report to assist the City of Lino Lakes in
development of the transition plan, noting that the City has options allowing
them to relocate or modify programs to make programs accessible where
architectural accessibility is not currently provided.
♦ Finally, the City of Lino Lakes is charged with the development of a
Transition Plan. The Transition Plan is a documentation of architectural
changes necessary to provide access to the City's programs. When it is
determined by the City of Lino Lakes that architectural changes will be
necessary, a transition plan is to document at a minimum the following items:
l.) Identification of the location and issue.
2.) A description of the recommended modifications.
3.) The approximate cost associated with modifications.
4.) The time frame for completion.
5.) The person responsible for implementation.
Sample transition forms for your use are provided as part of this report.
julee quarve-peterson,inc.
