r
January 27 , 1995
Dear Marty,
Based on our telephone conversation, I have enclosed a
letter that you can send to the Circle Pines Park Dept .
in support of a joint park venture . I have also enclosed
a copy of the flyer we have distributed to our neighborhood
which tells about the meeting we discussed- on February 17 .
I ' ve already received alot of positive comments about our
neighborhood meeting. I ' d like to Thank you again for
taking time out of your schedule to present the current
status of our park situation . At our meeting, I would
appreciate it if you could take some time to cover the
following questions :
- How much money is available? Where did it come from?
Who has it now? Is there interest that we could also
use towards building a park?
- Explain the original location of the two lots set aside
for the park and what the status of each is . What needf
to be done to sell those lots .
- Explain where the alternative location is and the
pros and cons of that site . How close is it to Lake
Drive? Who owns it now? How big is the piece of
property? How much money is needed to obtain it?
What needs to be done to acquire this land?
- What is involved in a partnership with Circle Pines
to build a park? How much money are they willing to
spend? Will it always be a park shared by the two
cities?
- Are there other site options?
r.
