City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting Monday, November 6, 1995 Amy suggested that we let people know what is proposed transpired from the 20/20 Advisory Group recommendations Pam asked what kind of time frame we were looking at . Marty felt it should be established after the first of the year. George thought this was good so we could have recommendations done by spring. Athletic Complex: Marty has had conversations with Mary Saarian and Jeff Schoenbauer about the athletic complex. George has spoken to Bill Bisek, Centerville Park Board, and they have put money down on (the LaMotte property) a piece of property. They are interested in doing a joint use program. The Wilharber' s, (property abutting the Centerville' s land) may be interested in selling their property. If so, a joint venture could be accomplished. George said if this was going to happen there would be a multitude of details that would have to be worked out . Especially the financial input vs the division of the revenues . Marty said he hoped the Aloft., revenues would be put back into the property as well as the complex. Pam asked if Marty knew of any city that had a joint complex. Marty responded that Hopkins/Minnetonka had a beach facility between them but neither he nor Barry knew of any others . Joe asked if the City of Lexington would be considered in the joint venture . Marty said no, not at the present time. He hoped in the future we would be able to work with them. They are a part of the North Metro Association which includes Lexington, Circle Pines and Centerville. George said we should keep pursuing this and it should be on the agenda each month for updates . Ken said centralizing is important and he hoped placement is not going to be a problem between the cities . It was decided that George and Marty would meet with Bisek and the Wilharbers' to discuss this issue. He also asked if Marty could have a map so they could see the regional park area. 3
