r <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1995 <br /> The October 2, 1995, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting <br /> was called to order at 6 :35pm by George Lindy, Chair. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were George Lindy, Ken <br /> Johnson, Betty Piper, Sharon Lane, and Pam Taschuk. Also <br /> present were Marty Asleson, Park Recreation, and Forestry <br /> Coordinator, Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisor, <br /> and Sandie Wood, Recording Secretary. Members absent were <br /> Joe Schmidt and Amy Donlin. <br /> APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 11, 1995 MINUTES: <br /> George made a correction to the minutes on Page 4, second <br /> paragraph. The minutes read; George asked if the Forest <br /> Lake Hockey Association will be having scheduled time at <br /> this rink. The minutes should have read if the hockey <br /> associations will be having scheduled time at this rink. <br /> Ken Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes as amended, <br /> seconded by Pam Taschuk. Minutes were approved as amended. <br /> INTRODUCTION: Marty introduced Mary Fogarty, Park, <br /> Recreation, and Forestry Clerical Assistant, to the Park <br /> Board members . <br /> OPEN MIKE• <br /> There was no one present for open mike. <br /> 20/20 REPORT REVIEW: <br /> Laura Wolf and Ray Weber were present to answer any <br /> questions the Park Board Members may have in regards to the <br /> final 20/20 report . <br /> George thinks the 20/20 Advisory Group will find that the <br /> Park Board has other issues they feel are important but are <br /> quite aligned with the trail system and the need for a trail <br /> system. It always comes back to fiscal responsibility. <br /> Financing the "dream goals" is another issue. If the <br /> citizens want them they will have to find a way to finance <br /> them. Laura responded that we need to come up with a figure <br /> to develop the system and then come up with a time table to <br /> complete it . <br /> There was discussion on establishing a Trail Subcommittee to <br /> address the trail issues . Marty has been in contact with <br /> John VonDeLinde, Anoka County Park Department, regarding a <br /> 1 <br />
