CITY OF LINO LAKES PARK BOARD MEETING MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1995 Marty wanted Ken' s input on this . Ken wanted to know if it was feasible to have these fields in use until the athletic complex can be built . He said going back to the master plan this was designated as an athletic complex site and wanted to know why we weren' t using it . Marty said this is true but the property has changed, there are more wetlands since the wetland laws have changed, and part of the property is being used by the Lino Lakes Public Works Department . Ken then asked how much of the area was wetlands . Marty showed the areas that he thought were wetlands . There was discussion about public works making the best use of the land and a land trade off . Marty said there was no other area for them to move to and they need a large area for the trucks to maneuver around the salt/sand piles . Marty stated that a septic system has also been installed on the property. Marty then asked the board if there was any other information he could give the members pertaining to the 1996 goals . George said he would like the 1996 goal priorities on the next agenda. He wants to look at the priorities and put a dollar amount on the projects . Updates and Old Business: Sharon asked if the new building at City Hall Park was on blocks . Marty said the builder moves the building in and gives staff a couple of days to lay block and then the buildings is lowered onto them. (It is on blocks) Ken asked if the building was on blocks at Shoreview. Marty said no. NEW BUSINESS• Rehbein Transit Trail: Marty reviewed the September 27, 1995 memo regarding this trails . He said Mary Kay Wyland negotiated with the Rehbein Bus Transit Company for this new segment of trails and it should be placed sometime during the week. 8
