n LINO LAKES PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> PROGRAM FINAL REPORT <br /> Program Name: Open Playground Season: Summer Year: 1995 <br /> Number of Participants: 231 Lino Lakes Residents: ? <br /> Area School Districts Registrations:? <br /> Registration Fee: $0 *$3 per person fee for final party Scholarships Awarded: 0 <br /> Income: $135 Expenses: $ Total income/expense: <br /> Objectives of this program met? <br /> Yes ! ! This program maintained it' s constructive, educational <br /> and fun atmosphere. The staff did an outstanding job even <br /> though the weather was uncooperative most of the Summer. <br /> This program has continually provided a place were young <br /> people may find a sanctuary. This program has also provided <br /> an essential part of a child' s development of playing, <br /> socializing and learning. <br /> The attendance was insignificantly smaller then in years <br /> ..� past. This is believed to be in direct reflection of the <br /> thirty one days this program was held twenty one of these <br /> days either rained, temperature was over 90 digress or <br /> extremely high humidity. <br /> Participants Reactions? <br /> Parents and participants have enjoyed this program since <br /> it' s conception. It has been relayed back to this <br /> department that this years staff did a terrific job in <br /> offering a well balanced program. It has been mentioned to <br /> the park and recreation office to possible have a longer <br /> program. <br /> Changes (if any) for the next time this program is offered? <br /> The biggest changes in this program is anticipated coming <br /> from the traveling program. It has been an experiment the <br /> past two years to locate pockets of children. Some of the <br /> traveling parks have had very high attendance, but others <br /> have had lower numbers . It will be investigated on what <br /> parks provide the best success ratio and plan accordingly. <br /> It is also being investigated if this program should be held <br /> five days a week instead of the present four days a week. <br /> r <br />
