STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy Clerk <br />September 13, 2021 <br />Consider Resolution 21-965 Approving <br />On -Sale Wine, Sunday Sales and 3.2 Beer Licenses <br />for Mac Kitchen <br />3/5 <br />Mac Kitchen is an established restaurant located at 717 Apollo Drive, Suite 140. The applicant <br />Trang Mac is applying for On -Sale Wine, Sunday Sales and 3.2 Beer liquor licenses. <br />This location has previously held the same licenses applied for by Chili, Sushi &Thai. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The application submitted to the City is complete, the related fees have been paid and insurance <br />information has been provided to the City as required. The Lino Lakes Public Safety <br />Department has conducted a background on the current owner and found no reason to deny. <br />In accordance with the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, Section 701 relating to Liquor <br />Licensing, this application requires approval by the City Council. The code also requires that <br />opportunity shall be given to any person to be heard for or against the granting of the license. <br />The council may then, in its discretion, grant or refuse the application. <br />If local approval is granted, the application for an On -Sale Wine and Sunday Sales licenses will <br />be forwarded to the Minnesota Alcohol &Gambling Enforcement. Division fob review. The <br />State of Minnesota is the licensing authority for wine and Sunday sales licenses; the City is the <br />licensing authority for the 3.2 beer license. <br />The applicant is aware that approval is subject to all the provisions, approvals, conditions and <br />waiting periods of the laws of the city, state and federal government. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the approval of the On -Sale Wine, Sunday Sales and 3.2 Beer License for <br />Mac Kitchen. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 2 1 -96 <br />
