Page 34 of 73 <br /> <br />FACILITY SCHEDULE ANALYSIS <br /> <br /> <br />At first glance it is difficult to imagine the immediate growth of programs and access at the Rec and <br />Community Center upon re-opening without any additional facility expansion. Detailed review of <br />the YMCA pre-pandemic program, use, and facility schedules indicated that the scheduling of <br />facilities and programs did not effectively optimize the use of the different venues in the building, <br />especially in providing concurrent programs within each venue. <br /> <br />To understand how the variety of programs and schedule demands can be integrated in the existing <br />ISG has developed a Schedule Model Matrix. <br /> <br />This Matrix lays out a full range of programming across all of the venues within the facility. <br /> Lap Pool <br /> Leisure/Wellness Pool <br /> Cardio/Strength Rooms <br /> Fitness/Exercise Spaces <br /> Gym <br /> Community Meeting/Function Spaces <br /> Child Watch <br /> <br />Programs and time use are broken out by the following general categories: <br /> Aquatics <br /> Fitness <br /> Gym and General Programming/Use <br /> Each category does include times and space available to rent by outside groups <br /> <br />There are six Schedule Matrices to capture the weekly and seasonal variances in programming and <br />scheduling. These Matrices are: <br /> School Year: Weekdays <br /> School Year: Saturday <br /> School Year: Sunday <br /> Summer: Weekdays <br /> Summer: Saturday <br /> Summer: Sunday <br /> <br />The Schedule Matrix serves several important functions in the programming and analysis of the Rec <br />and Community Center. <br /> Provides a comprehensive visual of time available for each stakeholder and user <br />constituencies in the community to understand how and when they can use the Rec and <br />Community Center <br /> Provides a basis for discussion with potential program or management partners <br /> Provides a quantitative structure to help project Center costs and revenue <br />o Staffing needed for Center such as lifeguards <br />o Instructors needed for programs
