COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DRAFT <br />3 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT 79 <br />6A) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 01-20, Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to 80 <br />Allow for Small Wireless Facilities – Community Development Director Grochala noted that staff 81 <br />is requesting second reading and adoption of this ordinance that would update langauge in the 82 <br />zoning code relating to small wireless facilities. The council has previously approved new 83 <br />language for the city code on the subject of wireless facilities. 84 <br />Council Member Stoesz noted that 5G is technology that is on the way and how soon it reaches the 85 <br />City will depend on certain variables. 86 <br />Council Member Lyden remarked that there are intended consequences in moving forward but there 87 <br />can also be unintended consequences. He asks that staff keep an eye out for those unintended and 88 <br />perhaps not desirable elements. 89 <br />It was confirmed that location would generally be utility poles. 90 <br />Council Member Stoesz moved to waive the full reading of the ordinance. Council Member Lyden 91 <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote 92 <br />Council Member Stoesz moved to approve the 2nd Reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 01-20 as 93 <br />presented. Council Member Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 4; Nays none. 94 <br />6B) Consider Approval of Resolution No. 20-12, Approving Change Order No. 2 and 95 <br />Accepting the Extension of the Engineering Construction Services Contract, West Shadow 96 <br />Lake Area Improvement Project – City Engineer Hankee explained that this project has been under 97 <br />construction since October of 2018. She explained the change order being requested and the request 98 <br />for extension of a contract, mainly due to weather. Ms. Hankee provided a brief update on the 99 <br />project and its nearing completion. 100 <br />Mayor Rafferty recommended that people view the improvements as they are quite remarkable. He 101 <br />expressed thanks to the residents that presevered during construction; the result is good. 102 <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve Resolution No. 20-12 as presented. Council Member 103 <br />Stoesz the motion.
