The previous bid from August of 2019 <br />that was rejected was in the amount of $777,551.60. <br /> <br />The City of Hugo is in support of completing the paving project, however they have decided <br />not move forward with sanitary sewer and water installation (Alternate Bid 1). Their <br />Resolution will be considered on March 2nd, 2020. <br /> <br />The City Lino Lake’s share of the construction costs is $494,350.74, and the City of Hugo’s <br />share of the construction cost is $206,286.07. The Lino Lake’s total project cost including soft cost <br />and contingency is equal to $624,000. Funding for the project is proposed through the arterial <br />street reconstruction fund (from special assessments for Cedar Street collected from abutting <br />developments) in the amount of $247,500. State aid will fund the remaining $376,500 of <br />project costs. <br /> <br />The completion date for this project is November, 2020. <br /> <br />WSB and Associates has submitted a proposal to complete the construction services for the <br />East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project in the amount <br />of $58,502. Note this cost shared with the City of Hugo as outlined in the JPA. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 20-13, Accepting the Bid and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract in the amount of $700,636.80 to North Valley, Inc, for the base bid and <br />Approving the Construction Services Contract with WSB for the East Cedar Street & 24th <br />Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project, in the amount of $58,502. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
