8 <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Board <br /> <br />The Planning & Zoning Board held a public hearing on March 11, 2020. Staff requested input <br />from the Board regarding the following items: <br /> <br />1. Should a fence be installed south of the hood exhaust to provide additional screening? No <br /> <br />2. Should the fence along the trash enclosure drive be continuous? Yes <br /> <br />3. Is the proposed 6 ft high stained cedar fence (non-tongue and groove) acceptable? <br />a. For both ground mounted and rooftop screening? <br /> <br />The Board recommended the ground mounted 6 foot high cedar fence be replaced with a 6 <br />foot high block wall for the north two (2) sections and a 9 foot high continuous block wall for <br />the south two (2) sections. The block wall should match existing building materials and <br />colors. <br /> <br />The Board stated the rooftop 6 foot high stained cedar fence, non-tongue and groove was <br />acceptable. They did recommend the wood stain be a neutral color. <br /> <br />4. Is red an acceptable color for the rooftop metal safety guardrails? Yes <br /> <br />5. Is red an acceptable color for the stair structure? Yes <br /> <br />The Board also discussed the parking requirements and signage. <br /> <br />The architect, Jerry Anderson and Muddy Cow partner, Andrew Schmitz introduced themselves. <br />There were no other public comments. <br /> <br />The Board recommended approval of the Ordinance Amendment for Site Plan and Building <br />Modifications with conditions that the screening of the ground mounted mechanical equipment is <br />block wall and that the exhaust section is raised to 9 feet. In addition, the materials and colors <br />used should match the rest of the building. The vote was 3-0. <br /> <br />Findings of Fact <br /> <br />The Findings of Fact for the ordinance amendment and site and building plan modifications are <br />detailed in Ordinance No. 03-20 and Resolution No. 20-26, respectively. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of Ordinance No. 03-20 and Resolution No. 20-26. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
