Consider Resolution No. 18-33, Approving Construction <br />Services Contract with WSB & Associates <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting council’s consideration to accept bids, award construction contract, and <br />approve a construction services contract for the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On January 27, 2020, the City Council ordered the project and authorized the advertisement for bid <br />for the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project. The proposed 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project <br />included: <br /> <br />Base Bid: <br />Full Depth Reclamation, curb and gutter and storm sewer repair: <br />• Deerwood Lane, between Birch Street and Fox Road <br />• Fox Road, between West Shadow Lake Drive and Deerwood Lane <br /> <br />Watermain Repair: <br />• Bolt replacement on identified gate valves and services. <br /> <br />Bituminous Overlay: <br />• Carl Street from 4th Avenue to the west 1,400 feet, Rehbein Street, 77th Street, and Gordon <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Curb Replacement: <br />• Town Center Parkway <br /> <br />The advertisement also included two alternative bids, in the event that pricing came in lower than <br />expected: <br /> <br />Alternate No. 1- <br />Full Depth Reclamation of Beaver Circle.
