City of Lino Lakes <br />2020 Budget Preparation Calendar <br /> <br /> <br /> Jan-May – City Council provides direction on budget parameters. <br /> <br /> May 8 – Budget worksheets and calendars distributed to Directors. <br /> <br /> May 24 – Departmental budget requests are submitted. <br /> <br /> June-July – City Administrator and Finance Director review requests with <br />Directors and develop proposed 2020 Budget. <br /> <br /> July 19 – Proposed budget distributed to the City Council. <br /> <br /> July 29 - City Council holds initial work session on 2020 Budget. <br /> <br /> July 29 – September 23 – City Council scheduled work sessions on 2020 <br />Budget. <br /> <br /> September 23 – City Council approves proposed 2020 Budget and Tax Levy <br />and sets Truth in Taxation hearing dates. <br /> <br /> By September 30 - Preliminary Tax Levy and public hearing dates are <br />certified to Anoka County Auditor. <br /> <br /> October – December - Follow-up City Council budget work sessions. <br /> <br /> Mid-November– County mails Truth in Taxation notices to taxpayers. <br /> <br /> December 9 – City Council holds Public Hearing.
