Staff would like to review and discuss proposed revisions
to the Public Purpose Expenditures Policy.

Meals and Refreshments
Staff would like to add in meals and refreshments into public purpose expenditures. There
are times when the City is hosting events and ceremonies for employees and members of
the Council where a meal or refreshments may be appropriate. For transparency purposes,
staff would like to outline instances in which staff could spend dollars on meals and
refreshments.

Employee Recognition/ Appreciation
The City’s employee appreciation program currently consists of a barbeque and gift cards
or pins for staff celebrating years of service in increments of five years.
