<br /> 2 <br />2. Employees reaching 15 years of service have the choice of a sapphire precious stone <br />or a $60 gift card. <br />3. Employees reaching 20 years of service have the choice of an emerald stone or a $75 gift <br />card. <br />4. Employee reaching 25 years of service have the choice of a diamond stone or a $100 gift <br />card. <br />5. Retiring staff receive an 8x10 plaque or a $100 gift card. <br /> <br />*Gift cards are subject to income and FICA withholding taxes. Employee service awards are <br />based on continuous full-time or part-time service with the City. This program may include an <br />annual employee recognition dinner or a summer picnic luncheon. <br /> <br />Council Recognition <br />6. An outgoing mayor, council member or advisory board member, serving less than one <br />term, will receive a letter of appreciation. A mayor or council member serving one or more than <br />one terms receives an 8x10 plaque; board members a 6x8 plaque. <br /> <br />Gift cards are subject to income and FICA withholding taxes. Employee service awards are <br />based on continuous full-time or part-time service with the City. This program may include an <br />annual employee recognition dinner or a summer picnic luncheon. <br /> <br />Flowers <br /> <br />The City Council approves up to $1200 of expenditures for flowers and a card upon the death of <br />a current employee, an employee’s spouse, child, mother, or father., and a current city council or <br />board member. This provision pertains to current employees and councilmembers. <br /> <br /> <br />Employee Wellness <br />a) $300 annually for prizes, refreshments, and promotional healthy snack for employees <br />participating in wellness events. <br /> <br />Special Events <br />The City Council approves of expenditures for special events such as Nite to Unite, Safety <br />Camp, volunteer recognition dinners, and any other events that involve and invite participation <br />by the general public. Expenditures may include meals, participation fees, T-shirts, and other <br />sundry items of nominal value. <br /> <br />
