Consider Resolution No. 20-68 84 <br />Approving Conditional Use Permit; ii) Consider Resolution No. 20-69 Approving Site 85 <br />Improvement Performance Agreement – City Planner Larsen reviewed a PowerPoint presentation 86 <br />including information on the following: 87 <br />- Expansion proposed to current training facilities; 88 <br />- Conditional use permit required; 89 <br />- Map of site and implications of expansion project; 90 <br />- Nearby townhomes (located in City of Hugo); 91 <br />- Zoning; 92 <br />- Site plan review; 93 <br />- Exterior and floor plans; 94 <br />- Landscaping requirements; 95 <br />- Planning and Zoning Board recommendation (approval); 96 <br />- Requested council action. 97 <br />Dean Mills, Laborer’s Training Center, offered thanks to the council. He thanked staff for their very 98 <br />good assistance in getting this project together. He invited the council to visit their facility anytime. 99 <br />They pride themselves on being a good neighbor and he feels the design will be a positive addition. 100 <br />Mayor Rafferty noted that it is a great facility and he is excited to go forward with the expansion 101 <br />project. 102 <br />Councilmember Lyden remarked that it’s unusual to see buildings not connected especially because of 103 <br />winter weather in Minnesota. Mr. Mills explained that is intended with smaller class sizes possible in 104 <br />the future. 105 <br />Councilmember Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 20-68 as presented.
