COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DRAFT <br />1 <br /> 1 <br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL 2 <br />REGULAR MEETING 3 <br />MINUTES 4 <br /> 5 <br />DATE : July 27, 2020 6 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 7 <br />TIME ENDED : 7:40 p.m. 8 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Stoesz, Lyden, 9 <br /> Ruhland, Cavegn and Mayor Rafferty 10 <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : 11 <br /> 12 <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Community Development Director 13 <br />Michael Grochala; City Planner Katie Larsen; Public Safety Director John Swenson; City Engineer 14 <br />Diane Hankee 15 <br /> 16 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT 17 <br />Kevin Murphy, 583 Lois Lane, requested assistance with traffic issues on Lois Lane, including 18 <br />lowering the speed limit. Mayor Rafferty asked to be involved in continuing the discussion with 19 <br />residents and staff (City Engineer and Public Safety Department) about how speed limits can be 20 <br />amended and other possibilities to deal with issues of speeding and traffic. 21 <br />SETTING THE AGENDA 22 <br />The agenda was approved as presented. 23 <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS 24 <br />Oath of Police Service – Police Officers – Mike Monson, Anissa Ng 25 <br />Eagle Scout presentation for Aiden J. Sherer 26 <br />CONSENT AGENDA 27 <br />Councilmember Lyden moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1F as presented. 28 <br />Councilmember Cavegn seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 29 <br />Councilmember Cavegn noted Page 12 of the Expenditures Report and an item for Spanish 30 <br />translation services. Administrator Cotton explained that the services are public safety related and 31 <br />the City is required by law to provide them.
