<br />2021 Street Reconstruction Project: <br /> <br />Full Depth Reclamation (approximately 2.2 miles) – Joyer Lane, Karth Road, Talle Lane, Canfield <br />Road, and Gaage Lane neighborhood roadways, and 4th Avenue (Main Street to Pine Street). The <br />estimated project cost is $2,600,000.00. <br /> <br />2021 Street Rehabilitation Project: <br /> <br />The estimated funding available for 2021, including a pavement fund balance carried forward and <br />next year’s proposed budget of $711,112.00, is a total of $855,000.00. The proposed improvements <br />include: <br /> <br />Full Depth Mill and Overlay / Reclamation (approximately 0.6 miles) – Forsham Lake Drive, Post <br />Road, and Stage Coach Trail (from cul du sac north 1,400 feet). The estimated project cost is <br />$795,000.00 including water system repairs. <br /> <br />Thin Overlay (approximately 1.6 miles) – James Street, Knoll Drive and Oak Lane. Thin overlays <br />are planned to address Problem roadways in need of reconstruction that the City cannot fund in the <br />short term. The estimated project cost is $170,000.00. This portion of the project will be bid as an <br />alternate to maintain project flexibility. <br /> <br />The estimated total project cost including contingency and overhead and proposed funding <br />sources are as follows: <br /> <br /> Street <br />Reconstruction <br />Bonds <br />Pavement <br />Management <br />Fund <br />Water <br />Operating <br />Fund <br />Total <br />Project Cost <br />2021 Reconstruction $2,600,000 $2,600,000 <br />2021 Rehabilitation $840,000 $125,000 $965,000 <br />Total Estimated Cost $2,600,000 $840,000 $125,000 $3,565,000 <br /> <br />Municipal State Aid funding may be available for the 2021 Reconstruction Project and will be <br />evaluated as part of the overall project funding. <br /> <br />Staff will also initiate a separate preventative maintenance project for roads in the Adequate <br />category. These will include streets in more recent developments. <br /> <br />WSB & Associates, the City Engineer, have submitted a proposal to complete the plans and <br />specifications, and provide bid documents for the 2021 Street Reconstruction Project is <br />$113,428.00 and for the 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project is $43,433.00. For a total not to <br />exceed amount of $156,861.00. <br /> <br />The project schedule: <br /> <br />Order Improvement, Authorize Plans and Specifications October 12, 2020 <br />Approve Plans and Specifications, Authorize Ad for Bids November 23, 2020 <br />City Opens Bids December 22, 2020 <br />City Council Awards Contract December 28, 2020
