CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: December 14, 2020 <br />TOPIC : Consider Resolution No. 20-102, Approving Payment No. 7 and <br />Final, 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting council action to finalize the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project construction contract <br />with North Valley, Inc . <br />BACKGROUND <br />In April 13, 2020, the City awarded the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project to North Valley, Inc. in the <br />amou nt of $856,152.22. The project included: <br />•Full Depth Reclamation and spot curb and gutter replacement along Deerwood Lane between <br />Birch Street and Fox Road, and Fox Road, between West Shadow Lake Drive and <br />Deerwood Lane. <br />•Watermain bolt replacement on mainline gate valves and tees fittings. <br />•Bituminous Overlay on Carl Street from 4th Avenue to the west 1,400 feet, Rehbein Street, <br />77th Street, and Gordon Avenue. <br />•Curb Replacement along Town Center Parkway <br />The project was successfully completed with the final contract amount of $739,846.99 of which <br />$51,235.10 remains to be paid to the contractor. The project is $116,305.23 under budget . This <br />project is funded through the Pavement Management Fund, State Aid funds, and the Water Operating <br />Fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 20-102, Approving Payment No. 7 and Final, 2020 Street Rehabilitation <br />Project in the amount of $51,235.10 to North Valley, Inc . <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.R esolution 20-102 <br />2.Pay Request No. 7 & Final
