Lindahl reviewed a PowerPoint presentation ( on file ) , that included <br /> 15 information on the following : <br /> 16 - Proposed schedule for bringing forward updates to zoning ordinance as called for by <br /> 17 updated Comprehensive Plan ; <br /> 18 - Planned Unit Development (PUD ) discussion is a part of the update , has been reviewed <br /> 19 by the Planning and Zoning Board and will be discussed with the council tonight ; <br /> 20 - Examples of PUDs in the City — Lyngblomsten , Watermark , commercial and industrial ; <br /> 21 - PUD Open Space — utilized to get more green space ; <br /> 22 - Greenway System Plan — as included in 2040 Comp Plan ; objectives and benefits ; <br /> 23 protections ; <br /> 24 - Propose to eliminate PUD by conditional use permit , as recommended by the city <br /> 25 attorney ; <br /> 26 - Adding a table to the ordinance adding a base zoning district ; <br /> 27 - Move rural PUD ( cluster development ) out of zoning and move into subdivision <br /> 28 ordinance ; <br /> 29 - Generally trying to make the PUD regulations more clear ; <br /> 30 - Adding language for non - residential PUD to make them more harmonious ; <br /> 31 - Neighborhood meeting element — developer responsibilities ; feedback expected early in <br /> 32 the process ; <br /> 33 - Streamlined process ; <br /> 34 - PUD final plan will go straight to council (not to Planning and Zoning first) , <br /> 35 - Adding a process for PUD amendments . <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Ms . Lindahl noted that the draft amendments presented to the council are the same as <br /> 38 what was presented to Planning and Zoning . <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Ms . Lindahl reviewed the additional changes being recommended ( see PowerPoint) . <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Council comments : <br /> 43 - Accessory buildings — council pondered the need to allow more than one for such things <br /> 1 <br />
