COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 1 <br /> 2 LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> 3 SPECIAL MEETING <br /> 4 MINUTES <br /> 5 <br /> 6 DATE : November 17,2021 <br /> 7 TIME STARTED : 5:35 p.m. <br /> 8 TIME ENDED : 6:00 p.m. <br /> 9 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Lyden,Ruhland and Mayor <br /> 10 Rafferty <br /> 11 MEMBERS ABSENT Councilmember Stoesz <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Public Services Director Rick DeGardner; <br /> 14 Communications Specialist Andrea Turner; Administrative Assistant Kellie Schmidt; City Clerk <br /> 15 Julie Bartell <br /> 16 <br /> 17 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 18 There were no public comments. <br /> 19 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 20 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 21 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 22 5A) Consider Resolution No.21-140,Approving Facility Management Software Contract <br /> 23 with CivicPlus—Director DeGardner reviewed his written staff report. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Andrea Turner, Communications Specialist, and Kellie Schmidt,Administrative Assistant, reported. <br /> 26 Ms. Turner noted that staff is proposing that the City move its website from the Gov Office platform <br /> 27 to CivicPlus to better meet the needs of the City. She noted the benefits of a change, including a <br /> 28 better fit for the City's brand and identity. Samples of CivicPlus guided websites were shown. Ms. <br /> 29 Schmidt pointed out that CivicPlus can provide better search options and noted that search is a widely <br /> 30 utilized element of the website. Ms. Turner added that CivicPlus also better allows for future <br /> 31 updating. She presented a slide indicating how the City of Blaine utilizes CivicPlus for their <br /> 32 recreation and other programs on a very user friendly platform. <br /> 33 Ms. Turner reviewed other features and benefits of CivicPlus: <br /> 34 - Cohesive user experience and efficiency for staff, <br /> 35 - Custom designed site; <br /> 36 - Email connection with residents (resident opt in); <br /> 37 - Recreation center subsite; <br /> 38 - Technical on-line support; <br /> 39 - Pricing(eligible for ARPA Funding). <br /> 1 <br />
