Zoning Ordinance Update – New Zoning Districts, Agritourism and <br />Breweries/Distilleries, Kendra Lindahl, Landform <br /> <br />Ms. Kendra Lindahl, Landform, presented the staff report. She requested feedback <br />from the Planning and Zoning Board regarding the proposed new districts, <br />agritourism, and changes to liquor standards. <br /> <br />The Board recommended allowing printing presses and publishing facilities within <br />industrial districts, eliminating the food services requirement for hotels, removing the <br />community supported agriculture section, and adding a separate definition for wine, <br />cider, and mead to the liquor standards. <br /> <br />Doug Joyer, 8174 Lake Drive, Waldoch Farm, stated he met with City staff to discuss <br />agritourism. He said he believes community supported agriculture is agriculture and <br />not necessarily agritourism which is more geared towards entertainment. He <br />requested staff remove the community supported agriculture section. <br /> <br />VI. ACTION ITEMS <br />B. Gateway Development Studies <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala, Community Development Director, presented the staff report. <br /> <br />At the January 12th Planning and Zoning Board meeting, Board Member Michael <br />Root requested the Board discuss master planning at tonight’s meeting in order to <br />make a recommendation to City Council regarding proposed study initiatives. <br /> <br />The Board discussed monument signs and which areas of the City to prioritize for <br />master planning studies in order to make a recommendation to City Council. <br />Comments were also made about ensuring the master plans are not excessively <br />detailed. <br /> <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to recommend City Council fund master planning <br />studies for the following areas, in order of priority: Main Street from 21st Avenue to <br />24th Avenue, Main Street and Lake Drive, and Main Street and Sunset Avenue. <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Vojtech.
