Consider Resolution No. 22-39, Approving Construction <br />Services Contract with WSB & Associates <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Council's consideration to accept bids, award a construction contract, and <br />approve a construction services contract for the 2022 East Shadow Lake Drive Utility Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On February 14, 2022, the City Council ordered the project and authorized the advertisement for <br />bid for the 2022 East Shadow Lake Drive Utility Project. The proposed improvements include <br />replacement of sagging sanitary pipes, replacement of sanitary manholes, water system <br />replacement, roadway reconstruction and restoration of adjacent property at and near the <br />intersection of East Shadow Lake Drive and Lantern Lane. The project will result in reduced <br />inflow and infiltration of ground water in the sanitary sewer system. <br />Bids were received on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$689,848.61 <br />The low bid was submitted by Dresel Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $547,438.11 for the <br />base bid. <br />The total estimated project cost for the 2022 East Shadow Lake Drive Utility Project, <br />including soft costs and contingencies, is $670,000. The project will be funded through the <br />City's Sewer Operating Fund. <br />
