Call to Order <br /> The meeting was ualled to order at 7:15prn by Run Solfest, Chair <br /> Boll Call - The following members were present: <br /> Maria Bergson, William Bohjanen, William Houle, Paul Montain, Joyce Scharpen, <br /> Bart 13ehbeln, Ronald Solfest, Diana Turner, Robert Williams <br /> 2. Minutes of October 13, 1994 & February 9, 1995 wereaaprQved as presented. <br /> 3. EDAAS Report - Brian Wessel <br /> Are Update on the land exchange with Anoka County was given. The Met Council <br /> has denitwd the proposal since it would convert public land to private use. Brian <br /> will be going back to Met Council with a revised proposal that maintains public <br /> ownership of the County land to be acquired by the City. In addition, Brian <br /> reviewed the status of development in Apollo Suslness Park. <br /> 4. Presentation on street improvements -Tom DeWolfe and Acting City Engineer <br /> John and Torn gave an overview of the maintenance status of the existing City <br /> Streets that are deteriorating and discussed the problems the City is facing to <br /> make the: major investment improvements that are needed. In general, the <br /> problem is that the Charter does not arrow general funds to be used In <br /> reconstruction projects and the Charter does not allow assessing for improvements <br /> If a majority of property owners do not approve the proposed improvement. <br /> After mu,h discussion of this issue among the Commission members It was <br /> decided that a letter would be written to the City Council from the Commission <br /> requesting that they direct the City Engineer to provide a more detailed <br /> report/pres$ntation on the status of the Lino Lakes streets and cost estimates for <br /> Improvements. The letter will request that this Information be presented to the <br /> Commission at our next meeting scheduled for May 4, 1995. <br /> CONTINUED See Next Page <br />
