Evironmental Board <br />July 27, 2016 <br />Page 5 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br />Mr. Asleson will make sure that person is contacted. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor asked about the lighting with the new addition. <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson said that the lighting will remain the same. <br /> <br />Ms. Bor suggested to make sure if in the future the paved surface increases the use of <br />material that are best for drainage be considered. Also the parking lot is not to exceed 10 <br />acres. <br /> <br />Ms. Gari Pisca was present, she is the Executive Director of Expansion at Eagle Brook <br />Church. She is aware of the heron rookery and will communicate with Mr. Asleson when <br />construction starts. <br /> <br />Ms. Andrzejewski MOTIONED to forward the Eagle Brook Church Addition Review <br />and recommendations on to Planning & Zoning Board and City Council. Motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Schwartz. Motioned carried 6-0 <br /> <br />6. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br /> A. Lino Lakes Bird Talk <br /> <br /> Ms. Kaufenberg and Mr. Asleson had a conference call with Ms. Bryand to discuss the <br />bird presentation. It will be on Wednesday, September 28 at 6:30pm with the <br />Environmental Board meeting following. <br /> <br /> The talk will be open to the public and will be advertise on the reader board and city’s <br />web site. It was too late to be in the Fall Newsletter. Also a link to Ms. Bryand’s website <br />could be included. <br /> <br /> B. Peltier Lake Draw Down <br /> <br />Mr. Heiskary handed out information titled Peltier Lake Drawdown Landowner Approval <br />Packet. <br /> <br />The purpose of the drawdown is to improve the overall water quality in Peltier Lake by <br />allowing near-shore sediments to freeze, dry out, and kill curly leaf pondweed, as well as <br />re oxygenate and consolidate sediments for native plants. <br /> <br />Rice Creek Watershed District sponsored two meetings, the first meeting during the day <br />was for affected cities officials. The evening meeting was for affected property owners. <br /> <br />Mr. Heiskary felt that property owners are now pretty well informed. People are worried <br />about ATV’s running through the area. This is prohibited and conservation officers are <br />aware of it and will address it, shall it occur. <br />
