2- <br />Upon questioning by Mr. McLean, Mayor L'Allier answered that the Mobile Home Ordinance <br />will be presented by Attorney Locher at the July 28 Council meeting and he hoped some <br />action would be taken at this time. Mr. McLean interjected that perhaps certain areas of <br />the Village could be designated as sites for trailer parks instead of having them scat - <br />tered all over the Village. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that at the last Council meeting he had appointed Mr. McLean to act <br />as liaison between the Planning Commission and the new planning consultant, Mr. Tom Van <br />Housen. Mr. Cardinal had been appointed liaison from the Council. Mr. L'Allier would like <br />Mr. McLean and Mr. Cardinal to gather material available such as maps and ordinances frog <br />the Engineer, the County Engineer, and the surveyors office and submit these to Mr. Van <br />Housen so he can study the information available in advance of a meeting with the Council <br />and the Planning Board. A meeting to further discuss ideas as to future Planning for Liro <br />Lakes should be set up after about 45 days of preparation. <br />Mr. L'Allier also announced that Mr. Gotwald would be at the August 20 meeting to discuks <br />with the Board the proposed thoroughfare map for Lino Lakes, <br />Mr. L'Allier announced a joint meeting on July 21 with the Council, Planning Board and tie <br />Park Board to meet with Mr. Bernie Steffen, County Administrator, to discuss the Count? Far} <br />Plan as it pertains to Lino Lakes. <br />Mr. McLean stated that Mr. Jester had suggested to him the idea of having a'check -off' list <br />for handling miscellaneous categories which come before the Board. In this way pertinent <br />questions we should be asking would all be written down and the secretary would merely <br />have to fill in the answers. He appointed Mr. Jester, Mr. Karth and Mr. Rehbein to draw <br />up a form for such a 'check -off' list, and report back at the September meeting if possible. <br />A request had been made to the Council to include plastic pipe in the plumbing code. <br />Mr. McLean thought the plumbing inspector should be consulted before any action is taken <br />on this matter and instructed the secretary to contact Mr. West and invite him to the <br />August 20th meeting. <br />Mr. Cardinal presented plans from Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hughes, requesting permission to build <br />a three bedroom home with a combination Barber and Beauty Shop in the basement. As this <br />property is on Highway 8 and already in commercially mooned property there would be no <br />problem involved in this type of operation. Mr. McLean stated the Hughes' were to be <br />commended for bringing in plans before building the Barber and Beauty Shop and home in a <br />commercial district. The Secretary was instructed to send a letter of commendation to the <br />Hughes' and Ken Rehbein for bringing their plans before the Planning Board. <br />Mr. Karth questioned a piece of land he owns which is in the shape of a triangle along the <br />freeway fence. He was concerned about how far away from the line be could build a house <br />and was given a copy of the Building and Zoning Ordinance Book. <br />Mr. Jester announced that the Steering Committee for the Anoka County Planning Commission <br />had been delayed in getting out their report but it should be in published form in the <br />near future. <br />Mr. L'Allier announced a special meeting for Judy 25, at which time the Village fiscal <br />agent, Sprinated, Inc., would present facts on municipal bonding, and also the Jandric <br />financial sources would appear before the Council. <br />Mr. Kelling moved to adjourn at 9:35p.m., seconded by Mr. Jester. Motion carried.
