The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission held on November 20, <br />1968 was called to order at 8:10 p.m. by Chairman Rehbein with all gibers present except <br />Mr. lolling. <br />The minutes of the October meeting were approved as read. <br />Mr. L'Allier introduced Mr. Freitag and )Lr. Anderson, realtors prepresenting Mr. Vernon <br />Wahlberg who wishes to sell 55 acres on Fourth Avenue to the Main Concrete Products Com- <br />pany. The Molin Concrete Products Company, manufacturers of various precast and prestressed <br />concrete products wished to have this land rezoned from residential to industrial. Their <br />business is presently located at 885 Minneiaha, St. Paul, and is on a ten -acre site which <br />is becoming too small for their present volume of business. They would erect a building <br />1601 a 100 with a 20 foot ceiling height. The rest of the area would be used for storage <br />of the finished product and for stocking material used in manufacturing. They stated that <br />the site in Lino Lakes is close to the source of aggregate and other materials and is close <br />to the Freeway for fact delivery to the Twin Cities construction projects. <br />Mr. Molin and W. Richard Olson, representing the company, answered question from the Board. <br />They have 60 employees at present and probably would have more once they get under way in <br />the new site. They would begin building in the spring of 1969; needing water; for manufact- <br />ure of their product and sewer only for the sanitary facilities for the employees. There <br />would be some dust from the bulk cement going into the hopper about once every two days. <br />The entire operation would not be completely moved to Lino Lakes for at least two -three <br />years. The total cost of the land, building, and equipment would not exceed 1/2 million <br />dollars. <br />Chairman Rehbein told Mr. Molin and Mr. Olson their next step would be to appear before <br />the Council at their next meeting and then follow the legal steps such as public hearing, <br />etc: <br />The property in question has the following legal description: <br />The South 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 and Southwest <br />1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Section 8, Township 31, Range 22, except the <br />Southeast five acres. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dohmen appeared to request a variance for a lot located on Peltier Lake <br />which is less than 2 1/2 sores in size, being 3/4 of an acre. Mr. Stanley moved to <br />recommend to the Council that they grant a variance to Mr. Leo Dohman for a lot having <br />the following legal description: <br />That certain part of Lot six (6), in Auditor's Subdivision No. 55, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, and being a part of Government Lot One (1), in Section <br />eleven (11), Township thirty -one (31), Range twenty-two (22), described <br />as follows, to -wit: <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of aforesaid Lot six (6), thence <br />Nest along the North line thereof for Ninety -three and Wive - tenths (93.5) <br />feet; thence South five degrees (51 Forty -nine minutes (49') West, along <br />the westerly line of a public road, for One hundred (100) feet to the point <br />of beginning of the tract hereby described; thence Nest, parallel with the <br />North line of said Lot six (6) for One hundred thirty -six (136) feet to the <br />Easterly line of land held by the Stn Paul Water Department; thence South <br />Eighteen degrees (181 Sixteen minutes (16') East, along said line, for <br />Thirty -four and five - tenths (34.5) feet; thence South Six degrees (6') <br />Sixteen minutes (1(1) East, continuing along said Water Department line <br />for Sixty -seven and thirteen- hundredths (67.13) fee''
