OCTOBER 19, 1989 <br /> 1 . Meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM <br /> 2. Members present were: <br /> Warren Schlichting Jeannie Goldade <br /> Al Ross David Storberg <br /> Debra Smith Robert Doocy <br /> Beverly Landers Lyle Bye <br /> Kim Olson Matthew Blaylock <br /> Members Absent: <br /> Tom Molin Curtis Pelarski Sally Kuether <br /> Robert Rud Royce Zaudtke <br /> City Representatives: <br /> Mayor - Ben Benson Councilman - Harold Bisel <br /> Jeannie commented for the record that under the Charter Commission <br /> rules attendance of the Charter Commission meetings are expected unless <br /> prior arrangements are made by calling either herself or the city offices. <br /> If a member is absent 4 times in a row without notice they may be <br /> removed from the commission and replaced. <br /> 3 Approval of the minutes: <br /> 3-16-8 9 Motioned to accept by Al Ross - Second by Warren <br /> Schlichting. Motioned carried unanimous. <br /> 10-0 5-8 9 Motioned to accept by Beverly Landers - Second by <br /> Al Ross. Motioned carried unanimous. <br /> Old business: <br /> 4 Analysis letter from the city - discussion. <br /> There was discussion of the "DJK Draft" of the amendment about the <br /> verbiage. The term "by area" was deleted in Sec 8.03 Sub 2 line 6-7. <br /> The analysis that Jeannie Goldade put together was read through and <br /> changes made. This format was more acceptable to the commission <br /> than the City's letter. The Commission agreed to submit this <br /> analysis to the City Friday AM for consideration at Monday's Council <br /> meeting. <br />
