5 Financial business. <br /> Jeannie brought up the fact that money was spent by the City Council <br /> on consultants for the Charter Commission when the Commission did <br /> not realize the costs involved. <br /> A Budget for the 1990 Commission year was recommended by <br /> Jeannie Goldade to be requested from the City as follows: <br /> $100 Advertising <br /> $100 Legal Notice Publications <br /> $50 Communications (Phone calls and Postage) <br /> $100 Office supplies <br /> A motioned was made to accept these line items by Lyle Bye. Second <br /> by Al Ross. Motioned carried unanimous. <br /> Another line item that the City has already provided for is: <br /> $3000 Consultants <br /> A motion was made to accept this as sufficient by Robert Doocy and <br /> second by Beverly Landers. Motioned carried unanimous. <br /> The Charter Commission requests that the Commission and the City <br /> work together with open lines of 2 way communication when hiring <br /> outside consultants. <br /> 6 New business. <br /> Ideas for future meetings were discussed: <br /> 1 . Attempts should be made to "clean up" the charter to increase <br /> the readability within the next year. <br /> 2 We will need to address the results from the election on the <br /> Charter Amendment. <br /> The next meeting was set for January 18, 1990 by a motion by <br /> Lyle Bye and second by Warren Schlichting. Motion carried. 1 opposed. <br /> 8 A motion was made to adjourn by Beverly Landers and second by <br /> Debra Smith. Motioned carried unanimous. Adjourned at 9:55 PM. <br />
