2-
Mr. Rehbein was anxious to get Lot B cleared legally in order to close the
sale of his con house. Mr. Kelling moved to recommend to the Council that whenRayRehbeincomesbeforetheCouncilwithhislegaldescriptionandcheck, a
variance be granted for Lot B on Mershon Lane. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Carried.
Glenn Rehbein stated once again that we are going to ruin our Village if we
continue to let Ken Rehbein build his "row houses ". Mr. Kelling thought we
would have to change the building code to keep out the prefabs since the live
weight per square foot tested out okay by Turin City Testing and there was no
other legal way to stop the prefabs.
Mr. McLean stated that the Board had two new things to accomplish in 1970. The
first was to define a more finite zoning plan to provide for more than the two
classifications we have now. He appointed himself, Mr. Kelling and Mr. Karth to
study new zoning. The second item is to revise the present building code, andincludemultiplebuildingsinthecode. Assigned to this committee was JimHillandJimHusnik.
Discussion on junk cars and unauthorized trailers was directed toward Mr. Cardinal.
The next Planning & Zoning meeting is scheduled for July 15, 1970.
Mr. Glenn Rehbein moved to adjourn at 10:10 p.m. Seconded by Mr. McLean.
Carried unanimously.
