Mr. Scoff stated that perhaps he could detach his piece on 4th Avenue off the <br />large parcel and redefine this parcel and asked what the procedure would be <br />to have it rezoned. <br />Mr. Rehbein moved to recommend to the Council that they rezone to commercial 3 <br />acres on 4th Avenue as outlined on attached map, provided Mr. Scoff submits e <br />survey map and legal description to the Council and that this be limited <br />commercial for a Tool and Die shop. Seconded by-Mr. Haling. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Smith recommended to the Council that in the near future they'should define <br />light industrial zoning ". W. McLean told him that the Planning Board is <br />working on this at present. <br />The remainder of *. Smith's property will be considered at the August meeting, <br />provided advance notice has been given that Ordinance 21C has been adhered to. <br />Mr. McLean moved to recommend to the Council that the public hearing on theremainderofMr. Lee Smith's property be continued until W. Smith complies <br />with Ordinance 21C and notifies the Council that he has done so 10 days in <br />advance of a regular meeting, Mr. Locher will send notices to residents prior <br />to the continued hearing. Seconded by Mr. Karth, Motion carried. <br />Mr. Smith questioned the Board on their feelings toward a multiple high rise <br />dwelling complex, excluding the sewer problem. Mr. Mclean felt that if it <br />was planned properly and offered the proper services, the Board would prob- <br />ably look favorably on such a plan. Mr. Keiling stated that he had no objection <br />to a planned camnunity but would not be in favor of one that interferred with <br />the visual rights of the present residents. <br />Attorney Herrick questioned the procedure after the 3 acres have been rezoned <br />to commercial. No special use permit is necessary; the Council would perhaps <br />recommend that a building permit be issued. <br />The publio hearing for the Smith rezoning was closed. <br />Mr. Rehbein moved to adjourn at 10 p.m. Seconded by*. 'Ceiling. Motion <br />carried. <br />The "attached" map has previously been distributed to the Planning Board members <br />and Council members.
